If foreign investors can help spur job growth and grow the economy then the U.S. government wants them to join their “Immigrant Investor” program. The EB-5 visa, also known as the Immigrant Investor program, designed to catalyze investment in American enterprises through immigration, allows foreign investors an easier pathway to lawful permanent residency in the U.S.
Currently, United States immigration law allows for 140,000 employment-based immigrant visas each year. Immigrant visas are permanent visas by definition, with the ultimate goal of legal permanent residence (Green Card). In most cases, your spouse and/or children should be able to accompany or follow-to-join you in the U.S. along your path to obtaining your permanent residence in the U.S.
Family-based immigration is broken down into two basic categories: immediate relative immigrant visas and family preference immigrant visas. Immigrant visas are for paths to permanent residence in the United States, so family-based immigration is for people that (a) have family members that are U.S. citizens and (b) are coming to the country seeking permanent residence. Family-based visas are detailed under the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

The complexity of the United States immigration laws is what drove immigration attorney Doug Zanes to create this website. Doug Zanes has built both a national and international immigration practice, allowing him to help clients not only living in any U.S. state, but also any country across the globe. With offices located in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, his immigration law firm, Zanes Law National Immigration Lawyers, uses technology to bring their services to any and all clients needing their help. Although Doug Zanes is a fluent Spanish speaker and is able to serve his latino immigration clients without an interpreter, the Zanes Law immigration lawyers are able to leverage today’s technology in order to communicate with clients from every part of the world in the client’s preferred language. Finally, we are able to enlist video conferencing technology to work one-on-one with our immigration clients who live across the United States as well as across the world.
